I had the incredible opportunity to join a BTO ringing trip to the untouched habitat of Puffin Island in North Wales. The trip was dedicated to ringing the remarkable species that is Cormorants. Due to challenging conditions the trip had been delayed a couple of weeks leading to the juveniles being rather mobile. The process is completely harmless and allows for us to track these amazing birds throughout their life. Apart from being scratched, bit, pooped and vomitted on by near every bird, this amazing island is one of the nearest places to pristine habitat in the United Kingdom.
